I always like to have some Balsamic Syrup in my pantry. It’s great to drizzle on salads, caprese grilled cheese, chicken, steaks — you name it, it’s probably great on it.
Yields approximately 1/3 cup
1 1/2 cups balsamic vinegar
3 Tablespoons sugar
Boil the balsamic vinegar and sugar in a heavy small saucepan over medium-high heat until reduced to 1/3 cup, stirring occasionally, about 18 minutes.
Let cool and store in mason jar in cool dry place.
