Do you like getting packages (i.e. prezzies) in the mail? One of my Australian friends always called presents, “prezzies”. I loved the sound of it so I started calling them prezzies too.
Disclosure: Although I received these for free, all thoughts are my own.
Well, if you are like me, you definitely do! I love going to the mail box and finding a prezzie there whether I paid for it (hello, amazon) or not. And one of the many fun things about writing a blog is that companies will send me cool stuff to try for the possibility of a review/mention on my blog.
Tania from Infinity Jars reached out to me late last year via email asking how we could work together and if I was interested in receiving $50 worth of jars (of my choice). I took a look at their website and found out that they were high performance storage containers for cooking ingredients, dried herbs, tea, coffee, cosmetics, nuts, oils, etc. They are airtight and light optimized, meaning they block out visible light that degrades organic goods.
They looked gorgeous and we had our 10-day Panama canal cruise coming up so I could use them for some of my toiletries, so I wrote back with a “yes, I’m definitely interested.”
When I received my package I was quite impressed; these jars were packed extremely well in bubble wrap and came with a cleaning cloth and labels.
- Here’s a little rundown on these jars:
- Made from premium imported European glass
- Have a tight screw top and airtight seal
- Contain ultra-violet filtering, blocking out harmful visible rays that degrade organic matter
- Preserves for 6 + months
- Comes in over 70 styles and shapes for whatever you are looking to use them for
Suggested uses include: herbs, salts, loose leaf teas, DIY lotions, toners, toothpaste, deodorant, essential oil blends, perfume and more.
Based on my needs, I chose:
- 15 ml pocketsize glas jar
- 50 ml screw top jar
- 100 ml tall screw top jar
- 10 ml glass essential oil bottle with Euro drop cap
I ended up taking 3 of the jars on our cruise. The 10 ml glass essential oil bottle, I used for a essential oil blend (Thieves and jojoba oil) that I like to use to keep colds at bay – it is cold and flu season and we are on a closed which with thousands of people. I filled the 15 ml pocketsize glas jar with a clay that I use when I get mosquito bites (or the occasional break-out). It dries them right out.
I put my DIY all natural deodorant in the 50 ml screw top jar.
I’m happy to say that all the the contents stayed in the jar … you just never know when the coconut oil from the deodorant is going to become liquid and seep out everywhere.
So if you need jars for traveling, essential oils or everyday home needs, check out Infinity Jars. I’m sure you will be glad you did.
